Maxi Frame / Magnum Swing Arm: What eye to eye length shocks are you guys using. Anyone using an adjustable performance shock, or a moto cross shock?

i dont have a maxi i have a pepi (generic minarelli powered italian moped) and i used the front shocks off an atv and man what a difference nice ride now
they were maybe 1/2 inch shorter than the original ones but i dont even notice it

I use 280mm Yamaha FS-1 shocks on my Maxi. They are actually just a lil short, but it's ok. 290 would probably work better.
You can also modify the front fork and swingarm off a Honda MB50 to fit the maxi. A lot of people over here imrpove the handling that way.

I use to sell HiPo Koni shocks for modded vehicles and the measurements that need to be considered are fully extended,,fully colapsed,, and length
at ride,, if those match then its just preference on spring rates and dampeneing speed...hope this helps
