Spree cylinder head shave

I know there must be some other closet Spree owners out there. I just picked up a near mint 86 Spree Shasta. Looking at the specs I was amazed to see that 6.8:1 compression ratio. There must be a lot to gain from shaving the head, how much dopes one take off? I mean 6.8:1! it's not 1927 here.

PS. Yes I do own real mopeds, this was just too nice to pass up.

Sprees are fun.

try removing .010" or using a thinner head gasket. that should add some power. but remember, manufacturers probably made compression that low for a reason.
