Can I have some feedback for the Athena 70cc kit? Is it good, reliable, powerful, etc.

Rad torque, kind of disappointing top and. Doesnt rev as high as I feel like it should. I got an estoril on mine though, so that could be part of the problem.
I had the whole kit on my Magnum with the proma circuit pipe and the bike was extremely fast and powerful, it ran perfectly from idle to top speed. The whole kit came from the mopedwarehouse.
Fastest bike in our town had that.
it's a great kit. good bottom end and so so top end.....i just can't break 65mph. =( was hoping to get it to 70+. climbs hills really well with the gearing i have.
za-50
20mm dellorto
boyesen reeds
proma gp
18/32 gearing
tuned port timing etc.....
about 62mph(not impressed)
its a great kit i got mine in '03 and it took me 3 years and a drill press to fuck it up.
i think the transfers on them are the weak spot, they have a real torque friendly shape. probably cause all those stupid euro kids turn maxis into dirtbikes and shit. you would have to actually add meat to the top outside corner of the xfer ports to pull that top end up.
tommy you rocked way harder on the metra...
Totally a polini buster.
I know. My (65) metra kit was way faster than this, but this hasnt been ported, and needs a better pipe. I give it another month and then I buy an 80 metra.
The Athena will rip your nuts off.
..In a good way.
That was the most boring video ever.
My athena rips nothing. WTF.
there is one key factor. nate @ motomatic mopeds touched it
troy does yours do over 65mph? if so what did nate do to make it go?
you sold me yours, go parma
not mine. i dont know if it tops 65.
nate has the hand of god. its really all i can comprehend.
ill see if i can get the low out of him tonight
why is hawaii's only tuning problem their pipes? and spam. :)
