Anyone who says they have a two speed sachs actually has a single speed with a worn out clutch. Or a moped from the fifties.

Sachs engines are solid. Some of their bikes could use better forks but solid anyways. Rebuilds are a cinch but performance hopups can be tricky if you're a noob.

I've got a 508. Chewed up 2 tops that I know of. Stuffed it into a Westlake and only ever did 35. Got bored with it, maybe I might kit it someday and throw it in the Foxi but I'm waiting for the planets to align a certain way.
Best I could ever figure out was it always shifts at 10 mph running 11/36. Seems a lot of extra weight for a glorifed 1-speed
