how do u design a motor around a 6p?

What cylinder port timing to compliment most?

Re: how do u design a motor around a 6p?

measure the pipe then use this program to figure it out =)

build for topend, 140-160 degrees. i'd also go with a really sharp curve on the top of the exhaust to keep some lowend.

Thanks, I know it is kinda backwards to design a whole motor around a pipe but I think there might be something evil in this pipe that wants me to do its bidding. I think java pipe is weird but I will try it

Re: how do u design a motor around a 6p?

hell, its easier to cut some transfer ports to the degrees you want than to build a pipe based on a kit. so yea, makes perfect sense.

I wish I knew more about how the transfer port timing affects the tuning. I just haven't got there yet.
