Yeah....Elliot is 100% correct (as usual when it comes to Mobys!)
So, the deal is this:
NO - pedals hit...but with a modifies right crank arm, about 1.5" out, it would work. Kickstand works PERFECTLY...which is great.
And....yes - this is a 40T...so the engine doesn't variate! In other words, everything is ROCK SOLID....all moving points are in a good spot with ZERO chance of moving. There is literally no stress on the exhaust port. And, honestly? My clutch is tuned well so it doesn't grab until higher revs (thank you Chris!) so I get nice take off.
Yes - Maitland is correct - the Doppler is going to run a little better - it's expansion chamber is larger and the header is bigger all the way around until the chamber. But you know? Having ridden both pipes.....and since this is on an UNVARIATED AV7....I have been very impressed. I'm actually wondering if I should have bought that Airsal kit instead for the Moby. Oh well.
Running a 16:16 SHA with a 19mm intake. Ported. 76 jet (probably can go to a 78 or 80!). It has 40 easy.....maybe 45 tops if I really tune things.
Pretty good!
Oh...and yes - the only difference between the 'square' and 'round' arm is the rear swing arm mounting bracketing. As far as I can tell, this pipe is MADE for the 40T. It fit so fucking well, I couldn't believe it. Maybe on 50L's it'll be good too.
Good luck everyone! Nice to know there are more options out there for the Moby!
I think there's a chance to order these right from Leo Vinci - but I dunno.
