Need Speed and be able to climb hills!!!

Okay... i have a 4-speed manual no-ped :( but you guys are sexy tuners so i thought i'd ask you anyway :)

my bike is good for about low 40's, with 65cc reedvalve, carbon reeds, straight through "turbokit" exhaust, 18 amal carb, and air filter... i run 14f 42r gearing... i also have 40r and 36r sprockets spare :)

Now, what can i do, without major modification, to make it go faster? (and climb hills, i live on a mountain :)) suggestions anyone??

I would put that 36 on the rear for more top speed since you have a real gearbox you can just down shift for hills

I agree with Austin on gearing it a bit higher, but not the rear sprocket. I say: Get a 16 teeth front sprocket. As this is a shift ped, the final drive ratios are higher than on an automatic, it probably won't pull 14-36. Front sprocket changes are pretty effective on shift-peds.

And what engine model does that DR have? Maybe I cna find ya some other kits and exhausts.

Thanks for the offer but im happy with the exhaust and my kit has just had a rebore, so...

i shall try the 36r and see how it goes...

and yeah, it's a nice suzuki, but i'd much rather have a tomos... you dont get them over here haha!!

and i heard the standard amal air filters are really restrictive... is this true??

Stock air-filters are always restrictive.

You could try a bigger carb and a foam filter, should give you some more low end.
