Just tossing some ideas around of what to improve on my Airsal kit, anyone have an A35 with a 4 petal reed setup?
Right now it has a Dellorto SHA 16.16, but I'm thinking of tuning for superfastness with a Simonini, 19mm PHBG and a Polini 19mm 4 petal intake, with Boysen reeds if I can find ones for it:
Thoughts, opinions? I haven't measured for clearances or anything yet, just thinking out loud.
if u can don't run the polini 4 pedal run the malossi one its way better polini sux, also u can't interchage reeds on polini blocks without drilling them out.

This is an A35 with Airsal kit. That stuff on the Malossi site does look nice, anyone on the web sell them?
tomos motors, for the most part, are all the same. top end making them different (again, for the most part). i can't say what will work with your kit, as all my experience is with the a35. it's all i really know when it comes to tomos.
i know this is reviving an old thread, but did anyone try this yet? were any mods necessary? i had this idea as well, and am excited at the idea of a 4 pedal a35 with a phbg, but i dont have the money to throw into it if its not gonna work...

do you happen to know how the carb hookup worked? did you run piping or something?

I inverted the colors back on your profile picture and that looks sick. It would be awesome if you could post a larger picture in here. What did you have to do to the the intake to get this to work? Did you enlarge it, and if so by how much did you make it the same size as the housing of the petals?
the question i have is with the intake angle on the a35 it looks like the polini intake wouldnt mount right due to the frame?
Right you are, with the 4 petal block it points the intake straight up into the frame, with almost no clearance to even get the engine bolted back on, and nothing to add on to the intake to move the carb elsewhere.
If you want to do 4 petal on Tomos you need to make a custom intake. I have the Malossi 4 petal and 21mm PHBG now, I'm trying to find some raw materials to make the intake. There's not much clearance for one, the pipe would have to enter the baseplate at an angle and bend 60 degrees or so to put the carb alongside the frame (airfilter pointing backwards) so you could still pedal.
