you're going to need a lot to do this setup.

noth of which you can get the CDI setup, but you have to replace a lot, i think the case, and crank are involved in this. look through, and ask fred from moparts, he's a good vespa link

kenitic cdi will fit right on, you'll need the fly wheel too
My si engine came with a cdi. So, you could look for si parts?
brennan, did that si motor come from europe somewhere? vespa did have stock cdi, but didn't think any were imported! awesome. what year is your si?
I dunno. I only had the motor. Ted has it now, but I think he is missing the case half. Sucks too, b/c the bolt pattern for the stator is different than standard vespas.
It must have been a euro model, b/c it had a stock 10mm wrist pin too.
weird..i thought the euro version with CDI had a 12mm wrist pin....investigate!
i forgot to mention im putting on the simonini race crank too so i should be able to fit a cdi on there hopefully from what ive gathered from you guys and from research on my own. Thanks guys.
It was from a si monte carlo. I got it in Clovis, NM... there is an air-force base there so who knows where it really came from. I only managed to get the swingarm half of the bike.
doesnt the vespa have the same flywheel as most of the italian bikes like morini and minarelli if i remember right my ciao did but that was a few years ago
no, they are different
yeah im just getting the simonini cdi kit comes with all the shit you need to make it fit and if the flywheel needs replaced ill just use a kinetic one i happen to know of one thats lying around so it will work cause i need the cdi to use the race crank and case induction kit and cdi's are just nice.
