changing the header length on an estoril will change the performance, but just how much will it change it?
any help would be appreciatied
i know shotening it willl make it more top end, i have a 2 speed and maybe making the header longer wont be so bad? how much longer cani make it without sacrificing so much power? help/
ok, so longer header means better low end, so maybe a ridicouls sprocket combo might work.... people do this on crazy low end bikes, but whats there top speed?
Hi, that is correct, increasing the tuned length overall, and specifically at the lead-in pipe moves the powerband down, according to my calculations it's only about 100-150 rpm per inch depending on your exhaust open period. You can get away with maybe half a foot before you need to increase the header and out pipe diameters. Look in Gordon Jennings Two Stroke Tuners Handbook for the details.
Don't add more than 3 inches...just cut the stinger, reweld and move the bracket.

umm, so im going to get the pipe wleded on and the header is going to be like 3 inches longer, i cant open those links you guys sent me but i looked up some more stuff about expansion chambers and i think if i just increase the diameter of header its going to be ok
it has a 10mm bing and the jet is a 74, wierd.
You need adobe acrobat reader for the handbook, and java for the pip calculator. Three inches should be fine, if you extend it right in front of the chamber with slightly larger diameter pipe even better but not necessary I think.

how, what? increase diameter? what exactly are you trying to do, that sounds like a silly idea.
im putting an estoril on my kreidler. And beca\use i want to keep the pedals moving i gotta extend the header a couple of inches... and i was wondering if it would completely retard the pipe.
oh yeah, i saw the other post, i think you answered your own question. a bigger diameter pipe probably wont help 'cause its a sonic thing, not a flow thing. i would try to modify the pedals to fit, or dent the pipe if you have to. sacrifice all for speed!
those estorils have a really sharp convergent cone at the end, which limits the top rpm really dramatically, you're not going to be able to get around that.
