Rookie wants to kit out a Pinto 2

I could use some advice about tripin out this pinto2. I was thinking about putting some EBR forks, some chrome shocks and a Polinni 65cc kit. I also need a longer seat.

If anyone has any advice to share I'm all ears.

lol, freestyle bars.

The bike is too short for me, I'm 6'2" I need a longer seat and shorter handle bars.

Re: Rookie wants to kit out a Pinto 2

not sure what you're looking to hear about your pinto.

got your normal puch e50, easy as pie. read any of these perf threads about people kitting maxis, etc. to learn about puch tuning.

the ebrs are better than stock, but honestly i don't think most people ever really need them. they're for style points.

and as far as the seat. make sure you post your original pinto one and a half person seat in the buy/sell if you swap out. people are dying for those.

my pinto is in my profile. i went with a korado #22 top end and a simo pipe to get my performance fix and stay at 50cc. it'll break 45 and does so more reliably than any kitted bike i've had. but i'm no pro tuner, that's part of the reason i try to stay with reliable oem shit

I'm also thinking about the Hydrolic forks that 1977 has which will raise the front end slightly

Re: Rookie wants to kit out a Pinto 2

Thanks for the input, That's an interesting pipe you have.

I was thinking of the hydrolic forks to give the front a little lift and a spoked wheel. I just got an NOS spoke wheel that I have to spoke myself. I thought a BiTurbo would look nice. then some stainless covers for the back wheel.

The consensus around the forum lately has been that the 65cc Metrakit is the best kit for beginners.

I have no personal experience with the MK; i've used an Airsal 70cc on a Puch in the past but I've moved away from kitting at this point.

I think 65cc Metra + 15 Bing + Biturbo would probably be a nice, simple combo for you. I recommend Treats HQ on eBay for the kit.

Hydraulic forks sound cool.

stock is the new kit
