i can go very fast!

i just wish i could stop now!

Oh yea i can stop just fine but its like a frieght train it just take a little bit.

it would be so cool to beable have the option to skid or endo

Re: i can go very fast!

disc brakes!!!

ive ridden a magnum with snowflake mags and they stopped way better than my 5 stars. it almost had car like responsiveness and took little to no effort

Re: i can go very fast!

coco, if you still have those nobby tires, and bouncy suspension, your braking responsiveness is going to dwindle.

Re: i can go very fast!

see if you can rig up something like on sachs. those pedal foot brakes are the illest. you can lock up your rear wheel reaall easy and do nice skids and fishtails.

I have pedal brake 5 stars for my project...got them from a guy on here a while back. Supposedly he ordered them from Germany a while before he sold them to me. So I duno how easy it would be to find another set... But they would be hot on the pinto.

are you serious?

the knobbies stop better in the grass or mud for when i go offroading on the street well oh course a street tire would stop better but this is only in extreme brake where the tire locks up,lol i can not even come close to lockup

Re: i can go very fast!

dude igot disc brakes and those shits r sick as hell

Re: i can go very fast!

post a pic of your disc

Re: i can go very fast!

You don't need to have discs on a Puch to stop fast.

All you need to do is this: Buy a new set of front & rear brake pads. Get good quality, preferably original.

Clean the entire brake drums with brake cleaner. Do it twice and clean it oud good.

Now install the new pads on the plate and clean em with brake cleaner b4 you put em in (Seems stupid because they're new, but trust me, it helps)

Let everything dry b4 you install it. Now set your brakes so that you wheel turns freely, but if you pull the lever just a lil bit you feel the pads grab.

The key to good drum brakes is clean drums & pads with level lining (So they grab at the same time).

Use original (like) brake cables if possible, those universal things normally suck.
