Uni Oil

Do i REALLY need that uni oil if i commit myself to buying that thing?

Re: Uni Oil

context please

Re: Uni Oil

The Uni oil is filter specific oil. It is really sticky so it will trap all the little bits of dirt. I'm not sure if regular oil would work well or not?

Just put something on it without oil it is not very effective at blocking dirt & dust.

Re: Uni Oil

oh that makes more sense. old school shop teacher had us put 30 weight in lawnmower foam filters after we got all the crap out of them. but i think id spring for the recommended oil if you can get it. probably dont have to do it very often and wont be as messy.

Vlado vlado /

Go to any M/C or auto parts shop- they sell the filter oil in a spray can- pinkish in color; K&N is the commond brand.

On the UNI filter it says if not avail you could grease it (not soak!) with 2 stroke oil too.

Re: Uni Oil

ah i see...if anyone has some extra lying around that would be amazing

Re: Uni Oil

I think I might have a can of it you could use. I'll check if I can find it tonight.

Re: Uni Oil

You do not need that terrible sticky nightmare oil. Just use regular two stroke and clean it when it gets dirty.

The oil on the filter keeps water out, and helps keep out dirt and such.
