how come everyone shortens their fenders or takes them off is there some seceret theet makes em go faster ect? just wondering?

Many times its because the fenders wont allow wider tires without rubbing. Moped fenders are also quite ugly. When you live some place that rarely rains fenders are pretty much dead weight.

Tires spelled the end of mine, though face cover is needed when the roads are wet. My SSXL sends a line of water directly into my forehead. Worn out shocks can also lead to a quick fix by removing a fender that bottoms out.

be careful, taking the fenders off of old puch forks can lead to tracking issues when turning. i found out the hard way, faceplant into a hill right in front of starbucks. took me 30 min. to get her back on the road. sore for days.
now i have the ugliest setup you'll ever see. i need ebrs.

My front fender was nasty rusty ugly, the rear would'nt allow the use of a 17x3 cheng shin

yea dude when i have nice chrome i keep it. if it was reall rusted and shitty id consider taking em off.

After reading on the internet how golfballs go faster and further becaust of the dimples im gonna take a ball peen hammer to my fenders and go _REAL FAST_

The only reason all of my fenders were taken off was because they both got bent and scratched after I flipped end over end when my front wheel fell off over a speed bump.

I like to keep the fenders on mine. And after seeing Harolds Pinto after a Tractor trailer got a hold of his rear tire. I'll keep liking them. I think its better to be pushed then sucked under.

I left the front fender alone(chrome), to keep water & dirt off the plug & jug. Chopped the rear for areodynamics, and looks.Brent
