Hi guys, I've read the postings about fast and slow cylinders and seen the photographs - very helpful - but I have a cylinder with C cast on the side but which looks just like the fast cylinder in the picture _apart from_ the fact that my transfer ports are rectangular at the top rather than oval as the photo describes. I am confused!
To make it more objective, please can someone measure the positions of the ports relative to the head joint please? These are my dimensions between upper and lower edges of ports and cylinder head joint face:
Transfer upper 35.5 lower 43.2 port height 7.7
Exhaust upper 33.2 lower 42.8 port height 9.6
Inlet upper 52.5 lower 60.8 port height 8.3
and please can you say what letter is cast on the side of your cylinder. Hopefully we can draw up a chart of port timings for each cylinder type.
