I would start with platinums first. The fine wire plugs foul pretty easy, but the spark is nice. I can't say i ever noticed any difference however, except when they fouled.
ok. i wasnt thinking there would be much difference. might as well go with the cheapest now
Save your $$ for a motorcycle.
got one.. but yea it looks like its pointless to run iridium plugs.
Save them to use on a 4 stroke. Waste of time with a stroker
Iridium is a rare metal in any concentration. It has been introduced to earth via meteorites.
I wish I had one motorbike that is...
If you like spending money for no reason at all, go for it. Spark is spark, it it sparks hot and blue it will fire, the only issue with plugs is how long will they last before wearing out or fouling. How much juice and how central does a spark have to be in a cylinder with a 38-40mm bore size anyhow?
Buy NGK plugs, they are reasonably priced and good, same with Autolites, Champions burn up too fast and rust.
iridium is an alloy of platinum that is even more resistant to corrosion. But corrosion doesn't kill plugs on mopeds so, unless your replacing your spark plugs once a decade, get the cheap disposable ones.
Stick with regular plugs, they work without the major cost of plugs designed for lazy car owners who want to drive 100,000 kilometers without a tune up.
I prefer champions to ngk because the champions have a tip that is a little more extended than the ngks. i think everyone has their fave brand based on each personal experience, just adding my 2 cents.
I've had Denso's and NGK's die on the trail, but never ever had an autolite platinum or standard leave me stranded.
