is it worth the money for a big big bore kit for my 72' maxi s? i want more speed out of the ped but is it really worth the money as i dont expect to use the bike as an everyday bike like i do now and it would forever and a day to run in. also does anybody know how reliable the euro kit is?...and can they be used with pedal start bikes?
yes yes it is do a kit and pipe you will get 45+ if you do a carb and someof that kind of stuff you coluld get 50 if you do some good tuning

i have a euro kit on my maxi.i ran it rich as shit for the first few hundred miles,and now its jetted right.kits will put more wear on you motor,and euro kits arnt the best kits available.mine runs very well and i think its reliable,but it gets horribe gas mileage.i can only go about 25-30 miles on a tank.if you want your moped to be reliable and not needing constant tuning just get a nice pipe.
well wear aint an issue but it would take a very long time to trun in..mayb i will go for looks on this project rather than performance...im gfed up of running in i have 300 miles left to go on my everyday motorcycle
if it's an e50 tune the beast til it runs like fire. if it's a za50 don't... the two speeds suck. imho
its a one speed so does that mean e50?
puch made a bunch of other one speeds, e50 is just the best. It will have the name on the top of the case, around the crankshaft, on the right hand side sitting on the ped.
you can make it go fast without a kit, and even without a good pipe, however a pipe will definately help,
just.......installed an athena 70cc cylinder and head on my 1 speed left stock exhast and 14mm carb upt ta 80 jet fer now and just ridin around ta tune at 1/8 throttle on flat i was doin 30 my bike topt at 35 down hill befor kitted. heard pollini and athena are the best and so far this athena was well worth tha 200. moped warehouse has em and with tha head no reedvalve kit is 200. awsome investment..!

yeah it'll have the name on it. towards the end of the company (after 82 or 83) they just started yankin stuff outta the parts bin and slapping it on (that doesn't mean quality suffered as far as workmanship it just means their supply was dwindling) and things got kinda confusing. the best puch i ever saw was my friend's 1977 maxi 1 spd. thing was polini kitted, bigger carb, the whole 9, and it did an honest 47 reliably.
