Re: QT50 50 mph(non-political)

That 40 buck eBay 60 kit rips on my towny. It soft seized a couple of times for no reason, even though it was jetted properly and no air leaks. Now it’s kinda noisy but hasn’t let me down and gets me into the mid forties with stock everything else. They’re actually strangely nice quality. The branding on the one I got was Niche.

Re: QT50 50 mph(non-political)

This is my dumb qt. I haven't touched it in quite a while but now I really want to finish it.

Looks like general forks and pw50 wheels

Correct! General forks bolt right up basically. Sometimes you have to grind the brake tab to fit. The General forks are basically identical to older yamaha enduro front ends. Pw50 wheels and a polini shock riser to level it out. Trying to cobble a scooty cylinder on there next.

Re: QT50 50 mph(non-political)

I put one of those kits on a yamahopper. I have to make a base spacer to get the ports to open all the way up but it was easy. Ran really strong. Kit is super soft so be careful with porting and cleanup. Bits eat through the material quick.

Re: QT50 50 mph(non-political)

I think it's so wild that you can just buy a spacer for these bikes from someone that's not trying to make a shitty noped faster

Spacer probably originated for the PW50 and carried over to the qt50.

Oh dang. I did not know you can get a spacer now.

pwonly is ridiculous on prices. At least they lowered that down from $50 but $30 is still outrageous. This dude has the pricing better and will make you just about any size if you contact him directly. Really thick ones can't be made from copper though.

He also makes copper base gaskets for the na50, nc50, nu50, pa50, nx50. (edited)

Re: QT50 50 mph(non-political)

I've got the Niche kit on my champ, it's definitely a little noisy but it pulls hard and takes abuse. Much better than I expected for 40 bucks. I'm sure everyone knows already but don't use the gaskets provided, they will disintegrate on you.

Just contacted that Ebay gasket guy and said he can do any thickness up to .125" in copper and up to 1" in aluminum.

So up to 3mm in copper and bigger in aluminum.
