There is more to it than that, Steven. You also need to change out the stator and take out the halls sensor. The a35 stator does not have the halls sensor which isn't bad as the a35 cdi coil doesn't have the wires to connect it. It has an advance curve almost like the a55 but levels out at about 9,500 to 10 degrees advance and has no rev limit. The a55 shuts down to 0 degrees advance at about 10,000 rpm and has electrical shut off at 10,500 rpm which is the limit.
The results with the a35 ignition set up gives you more bottom end and mid range and more high speed. In all it is way better. I don't know how you lost low end.
