Puch 70 cc kit Binds

I've got trhe airsal kit. The post holes are larger than the posts on the cylinder and head. When assembled, I turn the crank by hand. It turns a couple of times, then binds and is hard to turn. Is this due to poor alignment of cylinder on the block? Thanks for any ideas. ben

What happens when you loosen the stud nuts a couple of turns?

Also, did you oil the cylinder?

Re: Puch 70 cc kit Binds

Yeah the cylinder was lubed. The nuts are just tite enough to hold he cylinder in place, then i move the cylinder around while trying to find a nice smooth turnover. I'm stuck here. ben

Re: Puch 70 cc kit Binds

any chance that you didn't face the arrow on the piston towareds the exaust port and the rings are now jumping into the ports?

Re: Puch 70 cc kit Binds

Nope, the piston was right. I figured it out tho. The bushing on the crank side of the piston rod is shot. Dammit. Time consuming fix. Thanks for the ideas paul. ben
