Hobbit Chain Tensioner

Does anyone know if there is any chain tensioners out there made of metal? I find it kinda hard to believe you can still only get the plastic ones. Honda Hobbit PA50-II 1978.

Yes. Metal gears.

Re: Hobbit Chain Tensioner

No !! There are two different chain tensioner designs the newest one is way more robust and doesn't fall apart like the old ones do. Up until recently I even ordered one from a Honda dealer but I do not think they are available at this point I also ordered one from eBay in Europe that would not deliver to the United States and one of my colleagues at work's mom lives in Germany so it was sent to her address and then my colleague picked it up at at her mom's house when she visited. So yeah that's what you want.

Re: Hobbit Chain Tensioner

Kinda joking, but kinda not. If you can't find an original replacement could you tension your chain with this

?

You might have to hack it or even just take the the little sprocket part off and attach it to your subframe?
