I test rode my new bike today and when i took it on the street it acted funky.
After giving it wot and then trying to slow down the bike kept running hard. Needless to say i shut the bike off.
Anyone know why this would be happening?

The throttle cable needs lube or the slide might be sticky .
Maybe you developed an air leak or you might be low on fuel .
PD covered the most of it.
Could be sticking throttle/cable/slide.
If that moves good, I would immediately suspect an airleak. Hanging idle is a for sure sign of a lean condition.
Look up dieseling, runaway motors. Even if you shut em off
I once had to shoot a moped motor that was runaway with a large pistol.
It would not shut off and it was the only way.

Shooting a poor little moped motor is pretty drastic . You videoed that , didn't you ? ;)
Next time try cramming a potato in the tail pipe .
I didn't have a potato last time it happened to me , so I had to use a rag .
I couldn't video the event on account the pistol was so large it took both hands to hold and aim.

Dang . I was hoping to see you jumping around , dodging the ricocheting bullet . ;)
