A3 intake modification to avoid carb?

I have a Tomos A3 with newly installed 70 cc airsal kit with reeds, and Mikuni VM18 carb. The MLM intake that came with the kit sets the carb and air filter pretty much straight out to the side. My pedals hit and I need to find an intake that sets the carb and filter more forward facing. Any hacks or recommendations? Or is custom the only option?

Try a pedal spacer or better yet shorty arms.

Awesome suggestion I will look into both thank you.

Out of stock at the moment, but Treatland usually has these and they work great. https://www.treatland.tv/MLM-pedal-shaft-extender-2-p/mlm-pedal-shaft-extender-547.htm

You can also get pedals with shorter arms, or with a sharper angle to the arms to give you more clearance.

Definitely change the pedal throw before you try to modify the intake. Long intakes are not ideal for reeded setups.

I got a 14mm straight shot there's not a chance even a 15mm would fit in there.

Use a straight shot with a dishwasher hose adapter clamp to let it move
