I’ve got a 1995 Tomos Targa LX with an A35 engine and I’m having an issue that I can’t figure out. It doesn’t seem to rev all the way up. On a flat it will do around 23-25mph, but it will hold that speed if I go up a hill as well. It’s acting like it has a governor on the revs, but I know it does. It has a brand new carb, magneto, flywheel, CDI box, spark plug, fuel filter, and spark plug wire.
Also, it’s not and exhaust issue either.
UPDATE:
I swapped over the jet from the old carb to the new one and now it’ll rev up, but will bog down if so give it full throttle. The jet size is a 51, so a I’m guessing I have to get a slightly bigger one. The question now is how much bigger should I get?
Are the cylinder and exhaust stock?
53 if it's a stock setup
Would a 55 work?
Just went up to a 58 on an A35 here in FL that was acting boggy. Back to rippin now
