Tomos Targa dies when you hit the throttle

when you start the bike on choke the throttle works normally for a few seconds then as soon as you rev it more than once it dies, I'm a small engine mechanic (lawn mowers and that stuff) but really I've never done anything to a moped. any ideas on what to do?

Airleak. Tank clogged. Gas cap vent clogged. Carb clogged up.

ok, I figured it'd be something with the carb to fuel petcock

Try tigtning down the 4 lil intake bolts with a allen key.

My tomos like to warm up a bit before I go full throttle on it. Maybe add a little more air restriction to your filter.

Clean carb w new gas, w oil.

As others have said. When a motor runs good with choke and then dies with choke off then it needs more gas to run good. Being cold, lean from air keaks, clogged jets/fuel flow/petcock/cap vent, not using stock air filters etc can lead to bogginess.

As always important to give as much detail as possible for all to chime in as well as reporting back with fixes for future lost souls.
