Replace the condenser .
Taillight wire is grounding out.

100%.
A quick search would have ruled this out very quickly.
where is the condenser

On the stator , under the flywheel .
Ok cool thanks
Be nice to your idol and it will then idle.
Heh heh!!
might be a swollen clutch oh its a garelli and the rubber clutch never swells when hot and never messes up your idle after 15 mins or so, just keep moving and dont stop till u get to your destination.
so i want to put it in the same place as the old one. Does it just bolt on?

For more reasons than one , an externally mounted condenser is best .
Here's a explanation of the procedure . It says for Puch , but it pertains to all points systems , but for the color of the wires .

And , another condenser may or may not mount exactly the same as the original .
A lot of guys attach it to one of the ignition coil mount bolts/screws and attach the pigtail to the coil feed from the magneto .
Yup, go external. Just did this yesterday for my 45 year old condenser (stamped Germany). Started right up.
