Honda 82 Urban Express Kickstart Won’t Move

It’s stuck. Can’t move it more than an inch when kick down to start.

Questions:

could a battery that needs a charge be the problem?

Could it be inside gears not lining up?

I know it’s hard to guess. But just trying to really see if it’s possible with those two?

Thanks

They're out of alignment. You better has nothing to do with. Here's the manual. Make sure all the bushings and washers are there and they're lined up well. You'll get used to it. They can be a little fussy.

Don’t force it. You’ll probably break some gear teeth.

Ha! I wish was even that far along. I mean the bolts to just take off the left side cover. Those suckers are on tight.

PB Blaster or whatever you have, then stick a pipe over the end of you socket wrench and just put a little weight into it. you don't want to strip the little wretches. They're so small I don't think I'd try to get them off with an impact wrench first thing.

Tonight I’ll give it shot. Thanks man.

Man I don’t think I’ve had issues removing the cover bolts on an urban ever. Usually it’s the cover screws on a regular express. Post a pic of your bike (edited)
