103 2coil magneto quandary

Was having issues with mostly stock 103 cutting off after warming up. Trouble shot it, settled on replacing ignition coil with new generic coil from treats, replaced condenser also just incase. Wired up ran well better than ever. Came back some time later and.... no go. Doesn’t even want to start. Checked all usual subjects: fuel good, carb flowing, plug sparking, compression good, re-timed. Still no go.

Put a test light on it: brown wire off magneto to external battery, wire from batter to bulb, wire from bulb to ground. Bulb lights when points together, loosen point gap screw points fully open, bulb should dim but no change still bright as ever. Checked wiring in magneto all looks secure and proper. Thoughts? Advice? Opinions

Why not check the last thing(s) you messed with before the death ?

Put the old condenser back in and see if there's any change . Etc ....

Just because a thing is new doesn't mean it's any good . ;)

Possibly a crap condenser, shorted internally

I always used to clip one wire from the battery+ to the light, a wire from battery- to bike ground (engine block) and the other wire from the light to the moving arm of the points. (edited)
