You sir, are correct. I am indeed not using one of those.
Is this something I am going to be investing I. If I want those screws out?

Unfortunately, yes. And sometimes not even an impact driver by itself can help.
Using a compatible JIS bit will help.
When you put it back together get a set of metric Allen bolts. They are available on eeebay as a complete custom set for QT engines, not very expensive and look really nice when it's all back together.

Well I didn’t make it to northern tool instead I mildly adjusted my vise grips/channel locks, whatever you want to call them.... I clamped down and turned them dudes straight out til they cracked, then a screw driver did the job fine.
And toward the other commenter, yes when this whole things over a proved to run well it’ll get nice new screws and bolts.
