How do i remove my mopeds rear shock?

I've got an fa50, but I'm sure the process is similar on many old mopeds with a single rear shock. I need to remove it because it's installed wrong, but it's under a lot of pressure.

Probably a dumb question, but I can't find the answer. How do I take it off without damaging anything?

Quit searching for answers and simply get on with it . If trouble arises , handle it .

Just put the bike on the center stand .

Undo the bolts .

Look in the Wiki for a service manual.

If this is your model...

...it looks like the rear wheel is off the pavement when the bike is on the centerstand. The shock will be under very little pressure - it should come right off. Prey tell, how is the shock "installed wrong"?
