Not really a repair question but I need some technical advice. I was testing the resistance on several NGK coils and their cap/boots. When I tested the coils without the cap/boot there was resistance readings of about 8,000 ohms. When tested with the cap/boots the readings were between 11,000-14,000 ohms. Now when I tested the cap/coils by themselves there was NO resistance on the VOM. Is this correct and if so why or did I screw up testing the caps/boots. Thanks Jack

Re: HT coils and caps/boots
Here is a chart for NGK resistor spark plug caps .
Note that caps can have zero resistance and as high as 10,000 ohms resistance .
