I just got my Vespa back together, and took it for its maiden voyage. At first it was going fine, but once it got up to tempature after around 10 minutes of riding, it began to backfire with loud pops coming out of the exhaust. I am running a 40:1 mix, it is about 45 degrees out. I am not running a an air filter and it has the stock carb and jetting. Is it becoming too rich?
