Honda Urban Express Nu50 High idle

I just replaced the gaskets on the carburetor and gave it a good cleaning, idle air/ stop are in the right places. When I start up the moped it either starts at normal idle and then increases higher and higher or it starts very high. When it is at this high idle the throttle doesn’t seem to do anything. Any help?

You need to clean the idle circuit tube. It's pressed in and has little holes on the tube that get clogged. The trick is removing it without breaking it as it's brass. I usually grab at the bottom with small vise grips and pull straight up with a little wiggle to get it out. It's also called an emulsion tube if you want to research how to clean it. Good luck!

Where is that located?

In the carb right next to the main jet.

Did you remove the throttle slide in the carburetor? If so make sure its in the right way and not rotated. Very easy to do when putting the slide back in.
