Anyone ever use spaz stix ultimate mirror chrome ? Trying to bring my rear rim back to life.
Haven’t used that particular brand, but if the chrome has actually peeled off, you’ve got nothing to lose. It’ll never look as good as real chrome, but it will look better.
Looks a hell of a lot better, maybe clearcoat that?
I personally didn't like the results of the Spaz Stix. It's sort of the color of chrome, but you can tell it's not right. I first tested it on the handlebar clamps, and did not like what it looked like.
Thank you I really appreciate the feedback
I would suggest to consider to hit it with a fine brass wire brush to burnish the little pits really good then clear coat it. Only way to get chrome to look like chrome is to have the rims replated, painted chrome will look painted, but honest patina was earned by the bike.
I’ve got nothing against a full resto and shining stuff up as new, but I agree with Rebel. I much prefer a clean, but well deserved patina that was earned over decades. Seems a shame to erase history.
^ Mmmmmmmmmm RED 50v! :) As a rule I really dislike red vehicles, but the Red Motobecanes are by far the best looking ones!
Having Stephen Simmons who I met on moped Army build be a nice new engine for her. Can’t wait
Its a Frenchie so technically it is NOT "red"... its "Rouge Baccarat"...
