Hey guys really struggling to get some variator weights for my Honda hobbit so made some of these up. Made from copper and heavy duty hot glue. Anyone think these would work? I'm skeptical about temperatures the variator would get to and whether the glue would just melt. Cheers Luke

That hot glue is going to melt out. If you have a stock variator that uses three rollers, you want the Moped Factory rollers like these.

You could try something other than hot glue, like JB weld? or a different epoxy that can handle heat. I' dont know the how hot a variator gets.

Re: DIY variator weights glued bad idea?

people have done JB and epocy, but I agree hot glue is a bad idea
