Piaggio - Bravo - Moped flywheel issue

Trent Van Gilst /

I am having problems getting my flywheel back on properly, it seems to catch on something and is very stiff. I can't seem to get it to sit properly and I don't think it's going on all the way. when I try to press it on it only makes it stiffer and if I just set it on there it rocks back and forth slightly. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Piaggio - Bravo - Moped flywheel issue

whatcha mean by stiff? once lined up w woodruff and bolted down(put the spacer/clutch/variator on and crank on the nut). it should spin smooth and not rub case nor those wires on your points, why r there 2?

the kill wire should be split off your coil.

when u spin dont let your finger get caught on those case posts, i hate that.

Re: Piaggio - Bravo - Moped flywheel issue

I have found that if you had you coils off, when you put them back they do have a small amount of play between the screw and the hole in the coil. Loosen the screws on the coils and press them inward so that they cant be rubbing on the flywheel.

Try the wheel again

I had that problem last year. It was suggested that the timing cam wasn't seated all the way down. I pulled it cleaned the shaft, It fit like a glove. But check all the above to be sure Trent.
