Some sort of progress here.
I have the 13/13 back on there.
It doesn’t like to idle for more than a minute then slowly drifts off.
On the other hand it can wind up and rev quite high but it shudders as it does so.
Are we now at the point where this is a jet issue ?
I have a 60 on there.
Trying to figure out if I should jet up or down.
Kit and a pipe, you should probably be in the high 60s.
'just wanted to give an update here.
I finally gave up on the (new) case I was using and crank that I have. My guess is that there might be excessive clearance there.
I reused an old unopened case that I had (that wasn't restricted with a steel insert on the inlet like the one I was using) + the 50cc cylinder and piston + 13/13 carb + high flow air filter + high flow exhaust.
It works fine.
In a week or three I will try to get the 60cc working with yet another unrestricted, non-aftermarket, case I have on the shelf.
In the meantime, the above upgrades already make a pleasant difference. I went from anemic performance to reasonable-ish power. The cruise speed went from 25 kph to 35 kph. The top speed went from 30 to 40. That is fine for my application. I don't need anymore speed.
I am hoping the 60cc kit give me a little more torque and acceleration. Top speed is fine as it is.

it was mentioned earlier for sure. i wanted pictures of the mods cos i was thinking the intake may have been opened up too much.

Me too !!! In a couple of weeks I will crack it open to see what is up inside. I did not touch the edges of the inlet window. But I am guessing the clearance with crank is still excessive.
