Pulling this damn variator - motobecane 50v

Alden Stover /

Ok, I just need to clarify something. I'm taking apart my motor to put new bearings in. So I have ordered this long ago: https://www.treatland.tv/24mm-x-1mm-26mm-x-1mm-puller-for-honda-mbk-p/24x1-26x1-honda-mbk-puller.htm, which was fine for getting to the ignition, but it seems slightly too big to fit into the variator. I always assumed they were both the same damned size. What specific puller am I supposed to be using?

Stupid question, but......Did you flip it over and re-thread the bolt through the other side? There are two different size threads on these pullers.

Ha, yeah I did. One side is too small. The other side, too big

I know the OEM Moby dealer puller is one tool with dual threads, just like this repop. Sounds like you got a misthreaded puller.

I think I found out what's happened after measuring the puller itself; treatland sent me the wrong puller; one end of this is 20mm which serves me not at all.
