Good way to hide wiring harness?

Jeffrey Strichart /

Besides putting the plastic covers on (which I may do?) But if running the bike naked I can't really see any options except to cut out the harness out and wire the connections all together and hide them which I suppose would work until you have to drop the engine.

Re: Good way to hide wiring harness?

I have always drilled holes and fished wires though hollow parts of the frame. A good fishing pole is an old speedometer cable.

If you’re not using the standard airbox you could hide the terminal box inside it through that hole and then cover it with one of these

I think the best way to wire it (so you don’t have to try to attach stuff while the terminal box is obstructed by being in the airbox hole) using this position for the terminal box is to have extra long wires then connect them all to the terminal and then feed the wires through the airbox hole and send them off in the right directions (to stator, taillight, headlight) and lastly put the terminal through the hole. This method however does require you to take the wires off the stator OR just thought of this now, you could use connectors or just splice the wires together and shove them up into that hole that leads to the same place as the airbox hole where your terminal now is.

Cheetah is OCD is the finest of ways, that wiring is 100% better than any of my personal bikes.

That said, it's hard on a Maxi if you're trying to eliminate the cable cover at the front of the frame.

Re: Good way to hide wiring harness?

Make each wire off the stator have a quick disconnect. Run the other end through the bottom of frame to a terminal block hidden in airbox hole. Wire all other wires to the terminal block like you normally would.

I made my own cover to hide that hole and secure the block.
