Hello I have a cool late 60sHonda cub 50 the old carb leaks gas so I got a Chinese one , and had to dremel it to fit the intake.. my question is it has two screws on the bottom where it bolts to head... it’ll start and run for a second on spray ,, wondering if I have to crack those screws open a bit ? Thank you !!!!
You're much better off with the original carb than messing with a Chinese one. Have you tried to clean the original carb?
I am not familiar with that carb but those screws just look like plugs to me. Have you had them out for inspection?
Ever screw should be lightly seated / bottomed before removing . Count and note the amount of turns to bottom from original setting .
pretty sure those ones stay all the way in. on the original honda cub carb tha'ts where the jet is (except you can't get to it without taking the bowl off) so maybe theyre where the jet is. But leave those, the other screws on the side are adjustable.
Yes I have a sonic cleaner it leaks gas bad on top where the fuel on off is .. does someone offer a rebuild kit? Thank you

The valves are adjusted when cold .
