I recently repacked my front wheel bearings and now I’ve moved on to the rear. The front ones had 11 on each side and they were much larger than the back. The back ones have 13 on each side cause they’re much smaller. The races seem like the slightly larger on the back wheel. Has this been everybody else’s experience as well where the bearings are different sizes on the front and the back?

The cup/cone design can allow some play in bearing size, also possible they're not matching wheels. are they both Leleu wheels?
You can pack bearings in and use a cone wrench, you can try fewer larger ones if they still fit in, there are also caged bearing sets which make thing easier, and you could always go for sealed bearing conversion

No that’s incorrect ^ stock XK spoke wheels the front wheel and a rear wheel are different bearings and different axle sizes, I know I had several XK s and still have two, most maxi spoke wheels are the same with 11mm axle in front with less and bigger ball bearing size then the rear 12mm axle they are not interchangeable with each other,
Newer magnums still have two different axle sizes even though the rear is sealed bearing and 12mm the front is still loose bearing 11 mm axle
Never use cage bearings or aftermarket nothing with stock cups and cones, only stock puch ball bearings

The puch manual in wiki is the newer 1980-81 that shows sealed rear bearing rear wheels and mags
I have the 1978-79 puch service manual that is correct for magnum XK and shows rear loose bearing rear wheels here are correct pictures,
