My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

I was thinking I could just put a low amount of oil in some premix and run the motor till the bubbles go out but idk and I was wondering what I should do. Basically the reason my oil is like this is because I ran out of oil and I kept running the motor so it was just sucking in air(edited)

Just disconnect the oil line til the bubbles flow out of it

That's no good. In fact very bad, a bubble in the actual pump is probably the biggest cause of fail. Make sure all the hoses are sound, no leaks or cracks, and fill the reservoir, disconnect the lines and let em bubble out til they're full, no bubbles, and reconnect. run premix and run it til oil comes outta the injector steady.

Or just run premix only

I'll second that^ procedure . I still run the pump , as I don't like the hassle of premixing . I'm too lazy . ;)

I seized a motor when I kinked an oil line and ran the pump dry . It was a very long push home . :(

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

Could I just run premix till the bubbles go away then drain the premix after the bubbles are out and put regular gas in her, but I will put a low amount of oil in my mixture

Just disconnect the oil line and get the bubbles out ASAP .

Definitely run premix at normally recommended ratios ( 50 to 1 ) until you know the pump is feeding oil as it should . Then start running start gasoline again . Running a bit too much oil is much better than not enough . ;)

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

I don’t wanna drain the oil because the lines are already cut really short and there really hard to get back on. And what the mixture for the premix

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

Who ever told you that life was going to be easy , lied to you .

Do what ever you want . We told you the best / safest procedure .

And , I already told you a good premix ratio : 50 to 1 .

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

The only problem is that if I disconnect the lines I will prolly have to redo all the lines because there almost to short and there really old and have been through a lot of winters and summers I’m just wondering if I run the motor with the bubbles still in the lines and I put premix in if it will hurt the motor.

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

The motor may already be hurt , since you ran it oil dry .

It sounds like you're making this a lot harder than it actually is .

Doesn't take that long to replace the oil lines , let alone a simple disconnect .

You could have had the job done by the time you typed your first post .

We already told you about running premix and the pump .

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

Ok how do I replace my oil lines correctly

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

Overpriced Parts /

I posted some info on your other thread,

The lines are available on treats or inline anywhere, you don’t have to crimp clamp ends, you could use clamps or other things like safety wire!

Re: My oil lines have little air bubbles in them . I have a 2005 tomos lx moped

There is a bleed screw on the oil pump. Remove the screw and the oil will gravity feed, let it drain until the bubbles are out and put the screw back in.
