Does yours hang to the left or to the right?

I have 2 bikes with a Franco Morini M01 engine, a Scorpion SC-1 and an Itavelo Lloyds. Both intakes point the SHA 14:12 to the right side of the motor.

That seems fine on the Scorpion since the petcock comes out of the bottom of the frame, but the petcock on the Lloyds comes out of the left side of the tank. This forces you to run your fuel line and/or filter across the hot cylinder.

Yes, of course you can take precautions so the line doesn't touch anything hot, but can the intake be installed so the carburator aims left?

Also, when it's on the right side, it's hard to take the banjo off without loosening the carb from the intake.

Re: Does yours hang to the left or to the right?

you can just flip it in most cases

Re: Does yours hang to the left or to the right?

Upon closer inspection, there are fins on the left side of the cylinder that stick up high enough to prevent you from just flipping the intake around.

Re: Does yours hang to the left or to the right?

To the left because one foot is shorter then the other.
