Im getting some ac voltage from the mag when i kick her over and the coil ohms out( no oped curcuit). Feels like the cdi/coil might be bad, but hey i thought id ask b4 sending treats $70 for one. Any other way to tell if its bad? Thanks homies!

If you have a spark at the head usually it's good I mean if I'm not mistaken it either works overworks or doesn't work at all the only way I know of testing 1 is to replace it with a known-working one. The meter should read an input Spike when it should fire so then it would be tracking down the hall effect sensor it could be a bad sensor not a bad coil the sensors are usually what go bad sometimes they're just obscured by muck sometimes it's external and it's mounted in the flywheel compartment and it shook loose and moved investigate report bag
Thanks man. Yeah i got trigger but no spark. Either coil/cdi or the wires bad.only 840mi. plug wires glued in,no? im thinking ill just buy a new one and be ripping dicks/brapin on fools down the turnpike.fuckin tomos. If its not the clutch its something else.
Before you do all that bypass your kill switch rerun the signal wire right into the box make sure the ground goes right to the engine from the box if it's a four wire and has the external trigger make sure all lines to the trigger are good make sure the trigger is secure and in the right place if it only has two that means it has a hall effect sensor built in or it's an earlier Point / CDI
You know when i bought this turd it was missing the flywheel nut and the stator was not attached but all the pieces were under the cover. I wonder if it pulled a wire loose. Im going to pull the flywheel and check everything again. No kill switch just the choke. Ill post back later thanks again slew!
