Float level Question

Drake Abrahamsson /

I have followed every step of the Fix a Leaky Bing wiki entry and read the service manual and everything but I’m still having a lot of trouble. My 14mm Bing will only not leak if the float level is set to this crazy angle. Also attached is a picture of my extremely polished float seat. Everything you can replace has been replaced- gasket, float, float needle, float pin. It’s still leaking, what is going on???

Re: Float level Question

If the carb does it's job , who cares what the float angle is ?

So you’re saying it’d be okay to have the gas level in the float bowl possibly lower than it’s supposed to be, perform plug chops, then jet accordingly?
