I was trying to remove the pin from the exhaust port rocker arm. This is from a SSR lazer 5.
I don't know exactly what was impeding it from coming out but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it.
I built a little tool that worked perfectly.
I took two pieces of 1x4 (or maybe it's 1x3, didn't measure it). I drilled three holes in one piece and one hole in the other (the holes were 3/8").
I took two 3/8"x4" long screws, added a nut then a washer. These screws went up through the outer two holes of the wood board.
I took a 8x1.25 screw with a washer and inserted through the opposite side of the board, through the second board and threaded into the pin (the pin is threaded for a 8x1.25 screw).
I then alternated tightening the nuts to pry out the pin.
It worked better than I expected it would.
Here are some pics.
Hope this helps someone else.
