I’ve considered both these things. The issue just suddenly started out of the blue while out on a ride after about a half season of solid rippage. so I’d be interested to know how due flow issues might change so suddenly. I actually just checked to see if the fuel filter was draining too quickly and with just a quick rip of the throttle, the cutting out happens. Not even giving fuel time to deplete significantly.
But when you’re out of options, it never hurts to try different things. I’ll try the gas cap truck then after that I’ll completely disassemble and reassemble the carb in case there’s a blockage.
Also, note in the video that the headlights don’t flicker when the cutting out begins. Would they cut out if it were an electrical issue or would the fact that lights are a different circuit make it not matter?
And fuel flow issues wouldn’t explain the odd behavior of my fire mark when using a timing light, would it?
