Noob Question: How to rig clutch cable-Minarelli V1

I know how to attach the cable to the swing arm (actuator) but there's a LOT of slack on this cable and before I cut it, I want to know if there's more to this than looping it through the swingarm.

I notice there's a screw with a through-hole in the center that looks like its used for securing the clutch cable somehow (top middle of image, to the right of the green engine mount bolt)

yeah, put it through the through hole and then the actuator, tighten and then cut (if you want).

Blue is cable housing, red is wire cable. make sure when you tighten the nut you hold it on the bottom with another wrench or you can break it off.
