Tomos Clutch Bell Brass Bushing Question

Simon Belmont /

I have A55 Tomos clutch bell and when taking it out, I noticed that brass bushing that's inside can easily be moved in & out, is that normal?

The reason I ask is I have another clutch bell from A35 engine and the brass bushing inside it is not movable at all.

Re: Tomos Clutch Bell Brass Bushing Question

No that bushing is pressed into the bell.

Re: Tomos Clutch Bell Brass Bushing Question

I have exactly the same thing happening with mine. No idea why it's happened. Going to press another in there and see what happens.

Re: Tomos Clutch Bell Brass Bushing Question

Use a .5 to .7mm thicker of a bushing helps to , but it you get up around .7mm thicker recommend useing a press

Hey that? Springy thing on the main shaft there? that might be the internal Kickstart cage and needle bearings taking a chew that bushing is the first thing that will start sliding around just so you know
