There are cranks floating around for that engine. The standard noi crank won't work you meet the Katia crank.

Haha, seriously kudos. How straight did it come out? Have you spun it to check?
Wont matter a whole lot cause the taper is doing the centering and grunt work.
This is neat, and a cool endeavor, although I would have just pulled the crank so I didn't smoke the seal and have to deal with fucking around with the welding and tapping on the bike.
All in all, it's just easier to replace, especially when the rest of the crank is probably clapped out like the threads were.
